It\\\'s a GLOB! I mean a BLOG! 03/06/2011
It was Cocteau who wrote 'Art is not a pastime, it is a priesthood'. Twenty some years ago when I read that I remember feeling a twinge of something that rang true. Strange, how creativity sneaks up on us like little, damp blankets..all smelling of fresh linen. Hey, ART is work... There's a spirit that embeds itself in us. Creeps in unnoticed and thrives with every ounce of creative juice that spills. Yeah.. Does anybody like to read? I've written an odd little book. It's called Fretta and Thin. It's an illustrative narrative (a what?) written while I was travelling across Canada in a VW van some 29 years ago. It's about 2 emerging artists whose lives typify Queen Street West in Toronto during the 80's. Anyway..If you're interested in a different kind of read (comes with a magnifying glass) let me know.
